Introducing Our New Incoming Chairman
At the November 27th meeting of the Executive Committee, current Treasurer John Kraft of Roberts was unanimously appointed to the Party Chairman position, replacing current Chairman Scott Nordstrand. Scott has served as Party Chairman for the last four years, and initially chose to resign his position in order to focus on his role as a County Supervisor in District 2.
The Executive Committee appointed John to fill the role through the upcoming 2019 caucus, at which time all of the Executive Committee positions will be re-elected by the membership. John will serve dual roles of both Chairman and Treasurer until that time.
John has been active with the SCC Republican Party since shortly after moving to the County in 2015. He has previously held public office, having been elected to the School Board in the Arrowhead Union district in Waukesha County, has a history of community involvement and grass-roots organizing, volunteering as a Frontlines Activist Leader with the National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action.
"I'm proud to take on the role of Party Chairman here in St. Croix County. This is a challenging time in State and National politics, and I'm excited to work with conservatives throughout our region to advocate for limited government, individual freedom and liberty, fiscal responsibility, and to make sure my grandkids don't grow up under socialism.
I hope you'll join me in working to keep St. Croix County a conservative Republican majority region."
